The Leaf Aptus-II 10R56 MP Medium Format Digital Camera Back
with internally rotating sensor
The Leaf Aptus-II 10R medium format digital camera back allows you to complete your jobs – quickly and comfortably – and capture the highest quality images.
Today’s professional photographers need a suitable
photography solution to meet their rigorous technical
demands. The Leaf Aptus-II 10R is an all new, innovative,high-end digital camera back, geared to the practical needsof professional photographers that often need to change camera orientation.
Quick-Change Orientation
On the Leaf Aptus-II 10R, you can change from landscape to portrait
orientation with a simple turn of the Leaf Verto internal sensor rotation
dial. Enjoy the comfort of keeping the camera upright, rotating just the
sensor. On the Hasselblad V-series, as well as Mamiya RZ and Bronica
cameras, the Leaf Aptus-II 10R allows you to use either a waist level or
a prism viewfinder with ease, since otherwise neither viewfinder would
be viewable when the camera is tilted on its side. Keep your eye on
your subject as you turn the hermetically sealed sensor into a locked
position. Furthermore, the sensor will be at less risk to the elements
and from dust falling on the IR filter, meaning less spots for you to
clean in post production and letting you put more time into shooting.
Faster Workflow
Now, you can easily capture in portrait mode, saving time and
minimizing the interference to your flow - concentrating on the shoot.
For a flat copy studio setup, where the camera and back are mounted
on a copy stand pointing down, you won’t have to stop the flow
and re-mount the back to change orientation. Also, when shooting
handheld or on a tripod, you do not have to take the digital back off
the camera, or turn the back, to change orientation.
Uncompromised Image Quality
Preserve the most delicate highlights and distinguish details in deep
shadows. 16-bit color, an unsurpassed 12-stop dynamic range, 56
megapixel resolution all work in harmony to bring out natural skin
tones, subtle textures and accurate color reproduction.
Leaf Aptus-II digital backs produce images that have been compared
to film-like quality - superior to any capture device available in the
industry, regardless of resolution.
•• Unique color filters ensure consistent and accurate color reproduction
•• Large, specially designed sensor with unsurpassed 12 f–stop
dynamic range provides unmatched detail, richness and color, low
noise, and striking highlights
•• Broad ISO: from 80 to 800
Revolutionary Features
Leaf, working closely with our sensor manufacturer, designed and
developed the exclusive 56x36mm sensor. Conceived and built to
match the full 56mm wide frame that medium-format cameras were
designed with– something that has not been achieved since film
cameras. The Leaf Aptus-II 10R true wide frame 56mm sensor is the
world’s widest medium-format sensor. Unsurpassed dynamic range,
brilliant 16-bit color files of up to 345MB, internal rotation and Leaf
SensorFlex technology, make it the most flexible sensor in the world.
Sensor Flexibility
With Leaf SensorFlex technology you can crop on the fly to standard
pre-set formats before you shoot to get the dimensions, file size
and transfer rates that are best suited to your work. Leaf SensorFlex
technology lets you use all 9,288 x 6,000 pixels, or select a choice of
formats that uses only part of the sensor for even greater speed and
the file size you want for your job.
Synthesis of Leading Technology
The Leaf Aptus-II 10R integrates the best science and technology to
deliver a unique experience in digital photography: Internally rotating
Dalsa sensor; easy-to-access controls on the market’s only touch
screen, brilliantly showing your shots on a large 3.5” (6x7cm) display,
and integrating the widest, most versatile 56 MP sensor with leading
workflow software.
